The Programme

The principal cast behind every performance.

Every show has a cast - and behind every cast, a company. The Programme introduces the people who run Above and Beyond: the directors, designers, and department heads who shape what happens before the doors open and after the last guest leaves. They are the principal cast. The architects of the work.

The Directors

Seb Callaghan

Bex Brown

Co-Founder & Director

Co-founder of Above and Beyond. Classically trained at drama school.

Seb leads the company's creative and commercial strategy - from client partnerships and business development to the financial architecture that holds everything together. He designed A&B's cocktail repertoire from the ground up and directs the bar programme across every event, shaping each menu from first concept through final pour.

Seb oversees the development of A&B's Production Team and is the custodian of the company's brand voice, positioning, and long-term direction.

If A&B has a strategist, it's Seb. If it has a storyteller, it's likely Seb too.

Co-Founder & Director

Co-founder of Above and Beyond. Classically trained at drama school.

Bex is A&B's Event Director - the person accountable for the planning, styling, and delivery of the company's most ambitious projects. She leads the creative direction of every event space, from tablescape design through to management on the day, and has built A&B's relationships with the planners, venues, and partners.

Her instinct for how a room should look, feel, and flow is the foundation of A&B's service design. She is as comfortable running a kitchen timeline as she is curating a moodboard.

If you've ever been to an A&B event and felt the room shift the moment you walked in, that was Bex.

The Creative Team

Matthew Carver

Head of Mixology

A working actor who came to A&B from the bar at The Lanesborough - and brought both worlds with him.

Matthew leads the cocktail programme, ensuring standards across the A&B repertoire, running mixology training, and overseeing cocktail delivery on A&B's most premium projects.

His technical foundation is hotel-grade. His instinct for performance is theatre-trained. The combination is rare.

When Matthew is behind a bar, the drinks are part of the show.

Lauren Everard

Head of Guest Experience

Classically trained ballet dancer - Junior Royal Conservatoire of Scotland & London Studio Centre. Sixty-seven performances on a recent European tour with Nutcracker and Swan Lake.

Lauren brings precision, grace, and an unteachable instinct for how a room should feel - the kind that only comes from years of standing in front of an audience and reading the energy back.

When the room moves like a piece of choreography, that's Lauren.

The Production Team

Laila Dehiles

Paul Kwey

Operations Coordinator

The first member of A&B's Ensemble to be promoted into the Production Team - and the proof that the company means what it says about building from within. She understand the A&B culture perfectly which, combined with a fine eye for detail, makes Laila a true asset.

Laila brings an architecture degree to her work alongside Bex on styling and floor design - where her training in space, proportion, and detail translates directly into how A&B builds a room. She manages Deputy bookings, staff coordination and the logistical systems that ensures the A&B standard on every event.

Subtly indispensable. The kind of operator every company needs and few are lucky enough to find.

Head of Content Production

An actor building his own production company - KO7 Productions - alongside his work with A&B. Exactly the kind of overlap A&B is built on.

The two companies share a quiet obsession with storytelling.

Paul leads two ongoing content series: We'll Fix It In Post - An A&B Mockumentary on YouTube, and A&B - Off Script on Instagram. His documentary-style approach finds the cinematic in what we do. Think Marco Pierre White meets Wes Anderson.

If you've ever wondered what A&B looks like with the lights up and the cameras rolling, Paul is the one with the answer.
